At Khao’s Ekkamai and Wireless Road branches, you can experience the authentic taste of Thai cuisine, particularly “Khao Chae“, meticulously crafted to refresh your palate. This year, Khao Chae is served with an array of 9 delectable side dishes, beautifully presented alongside delicate jasmine-scented rice.

Mr. Toon, the owner of Khao Michelin, ensures that Khao Chae is prepared with utmost care, appointing Chef Toey to oversee its creation. This year’s menu boasts 9 tantalizing side dishes, including crispy fried mullet, adding an extra layer of flavor to this already exquisite dish.

Each year, Khao Michelin introduces a special additional side dish to elevate the dining experience. Previous years featured delicacies such as colorfully stuffed bell peppers with minced chicken or shrimp. This year, crispy fried mullet takes center stage.

Moo Wan (Sweet Pork): Tender pork is simmered with aromatic Thai herbs and spices, then stir-fried with palm sugar, coconut milk, and fragrant jasmine rice.

Hom Daeng Sai Pla (Stuffed Shallots with Fish): Large shallots are hollowed out and filled with finely ground roasted mackerel, seasoned, and fried until golden brown.

Moo Foy (Sun-Dried Pork): Sun-dried pork belly is boiled, sliced, and then deep-fried until crispy. It is then stir-fried with sugar, imparting a sweet aroma, and garnished with crispy fried shallots.

Hua Chai Pao Pad Wan (Stir-Fried Sweet Baby Corn): Baby corn is sliced and stir-fried with palm sugar and aromatic seasonings until golden brown and caramelized.

Khai Dong Kem (Salted Egg Yolk): Salted egg yolks are coated in a thin layer of batter and deep-fried until crispy on the outside, while remaining creamy on the inside. Khai Kem Chiya (Crispy Salted Fish): Salted fish is deep-fried until crispy, imparting a rich umami flavor to each bite.
