The exhibition is designed to awaken your senses and transport you into the realm of French Impressionism.
Claude Monet, born Oscar-Claude Monet in 1840 in Paris but raised in Le Havre, Normandy, France, was a gifted artist from a young age. He is a significant figure in the art world, known for his ability to capture the beauty of the world in the style of Impressionism, particularly in his masterpiece, “Impression, Sunrise.”
“Monet & Friends Alive” marks the first of its kind in Thailand, allowing visitors to experience the sights and sounds of 19th-century Europe through the art of Claude Monet and his fellow Impressionist artists. The exhibition spans over 4,000 square meters on the 6th floor of the Icon Siam’s Attraction Hall. “THAILAND PREMIER: World-Class Impressionist Immersive Exhibition” is inspired by the significant moments of change in European art history, transporting you back to the ambiance of the mid-19th century. This exhibition doesn’t only immerse you in the artworks of the Impressionist masters; it also weaves you into their world through the enchanting compositions of composers like Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, and Offenbach. It creates a lifelike simulated experience, with over 3,500 digital works projected in high definition through more than 58 projectors. The centerpiece is a vast 1,600 square meters virtual gallery, the largest in Thailand, showcased within an exhibition space spanning over 4,000 square meters.
A FRESH APPROACH TO ART, SCIENCE AND CULTURE: Over 40+ Display, Interactive, and Education Experiences” brings you the Monet Garden, a sprawling 2,000 square meters garden inspired by Monet himself, offering a surreal atmosphere reminiscent of his iconic paintings. It features the ‘Japanese’ bridges from Monet’s famous works that have captivated travelers worldwide. Additionally, you’ll find the Water Lily mirror room, an extraordinary display set within a glass chamber, surrounded by an exquisite water lily pond, evoking an underwater dreamscape. This exhibition also provides an opportunity to experience Impressionist art techniques, using AI interactive tools, and even offers the chance to sketch your own Impressionist-style artwork.
