These banknotes, valued at 100 baht each, are available for the public to exchange as a keepsake and to show their loyalty and respect for His Majesty.
Background and Purpose
Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput, announced that these commemorative banknotes were created with royal permission to honor His Majesty the King. The issuance of these banknotes marks the significant milestone of His Majesty’s 72nd birthday, celebrating his lifelong dedication and contributions to the nation. The aim is to provide the public with a meaningful memento that embodies national pride and unity.
Design and Features
The commemorative banknotes are designed vertically to highlight the image of His Majesty the King. The unique design makes the banknotes stand out with elegance and dignity. Advanced printing technology has been used to produce these notes on polymer material, which enhances their durability and resistance to wear and counterfeiting.
Front Side: The front of the banknote features an image of His Majesty the King dressed in royal attire, adorned with the Order of the Royal House of Chakri. The intricate background includes gold tones, symbolizing prosperity and honor.
Back Side: The back showcases His Majesty in full regalia, holding the Royal Sword, symbolizing his strength and leadership. The background features traditional Thai patterns and motifs, adding a touch of cultural heritage.

Starting July 23, 2024, the public can exchange these commemorative banknotes at various financial institutions across the country. These include commercial banks, the Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Government Housing Bank, and the Islamic Bank of Thailand. Additionally, the banknotes will be available at the Bank of Thailand Learning Center.
