Onitsuka Tiger unveils its first specialized production facility, Onitsuka Innovative Factory, in Tottori, Japan — the birthplace of the brand’s founder. This milestone marks a new chapter where Japanese craftsmanship meets contemporary culture under the concept When Craft Meets Culture.

Designed as a creative hub, the factory integrates material development, design, and production while collaborating with the Milan Design Center and the ASICS Institute of Sport Science to bring Japanese craftsmanship to a global audience.

To celebrate the opening, Onitsuka Tiger introduces a special edition sneaker, MEXICO 66 NM L9, designed by artist Tomohisa Yamashita. Inspired by the sand dunes of Tottori, the Camel Beige tone and premium suede reflect simplicity, comfort, and refined elegance. Only 1,000 pairs will be released worldwide.
Beyond footwear, the factory houses a gallery, a retail space, and community areas, transforming it into a cultural destination. The opening of Onitsuka Gallery Store also marks the brand’s first store in Tottori, offering exclusive NIPPON MADE products and bespoke services.

The celebration continues with the launch of Ristorante ONITSUKA TIGER, led by Michelin-starred chef Yoji Tokuyoshi, bringing the Farm-to-Table philosophy into the brand’s lifestyle vision.

From a small Japanese prefecture to the global stage, Onitsuka Innovative Factory represents more than a manufacturing site — it is the embodiment of heritage, creativity, and culture in motion.
When Craft Meets Culture.
