Michelin Guide Thailand 2025: 20 New Bib Gourmand Restaurants You Must Try

The Michelin Guide Thailand has unveiled a promising selection of 20 new Bib Gourmand recipients for 2025, bringing the total to an impressive 156 restaurants. This year marks an important milestone with the inclusion of Chonburi in the guide for the first time, where five restaurants have earned Bib Gourmand recognition, showcasing the region’s vibrant culinary offerings.

The Bib Gourmand Award, represented by the iconic Michelin Man, honors establishments that provide exceptional food at reasonable prices. This designation highlights a wide range of dining experiences, from elegant restaurant settings to cherished street food stalls, each contributing to the diverse culinary tapestry of Thailand.

In the detailed overview of the 2025 Bib Gourmand selections, there’s a noteworthy expansion in Bangkok and its vicinity, which sees seven new entries. Meanwhile, Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai have maintained their previous selections. In the northeastern cities, Khon Kaen welcomes one new addition, Nakhon Ratchasima adds three new restaurants, and Udon Thani features one new entry as well. Koh Samui, Surat Thani, and Phang Nga have retained their spots, while Phuket introduces three new entries. Notably, Chonburi impressively debuts with all five of its recognized restaurants being new to the guide.

Among the latest Bib Gourmand selections, Bangkok is home to Chan Hom, which has been celebrated for over 20 years for its authentic Southern Thai cuisine, featuring dishes such as Kaeng Tai Pla and Turmeric-Fried Frog. Khao Man Gai Na Jone is known for its tender chicken and flavorful dipping sauces, while Lucky Seafood attracts seafood enthusiasts with dishes like Stir-Fried Crab with Chili and Curry Powder. Urai Stewed Goose remains a popular choice for its unique braised goose prepared with a family recipe, and No Name Noodle offers creative seasonal noodle dishes that are sure to impress.

In Khon Kaen, Sri Ruen Pad Thai has delighted locals for over 30 years, known for its distinctive Pad Thai made with duck eggs. In Nakhon Ratchasima, Baan Mai Chay Nam combines vintage decor with standout offerings such as Salid Fish in Coconut Curry, while Soi Jek is celebrated for its fresh seafood dishes.

Udon Thani contributes Khao Soi Tai Yai, renowned for its Northern-style curry noodles crafted with care. Chonburi features notable entrants like Khao Lam Mae Kai Toon Khao, a 60-year-old establishment famous for its sweet sticky rice in bamboo, and Krua Laew Tae R-Rom, which offers a select high-quality seafood menu.

Phuket’s culinary landscape shines with Kin Kab Ee, where traditional Southern Thai recipes are well-preserved, and Niyom Salt-Roasted Duck presents tender duck with distinctive dipping sauces.
