The bartenders at Balcony Lounge, InterContinental Bangkok, are raising a glass to one of the world’s most iconic cocktails with a month-long celebration dedicated to the Negroni.
Traditionally crafted with gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, and finished with a slice of orange, the Negroni has a colorful history. The most enduring tale credits its creation to Count Camillo Negroni, an Italian nobleman and bon viveur, who ordered the potent mix at a Florentine café in 1919. Since then, the cocktail has inspired countless variations, such as the whiskey-based Boulevardier.
For Negroni Month, the mixologists at Balcony Lounge have taken inspiration from the Count’s original while adding their own flair, unveiling five inventive twists bursting with flavor and style. Highlights include:
- Sbagliato – Lillet Rosé, Aperol, Campari, Prosecco, and Iron Ball gin
- Kahlua Negroni – Lillet Blanc, Kahlua, Campari, and coffee-infused Tanqueray gin
- Bangkok Haze – Lillet Blanc, Campari, Blue Curaçao, Kosapan rum, and smoked cherry wood
- Rose’ta – Lillet Rosé, Campari, tequila, Cinzano, and Tabasco
- Siam Boulevardier – Mekhong whiskey, Cinzano, Campari, and citrus
These creative concoctions are available daily from 1 to 30 September 2025, between 08:00 and 24:00 hrs at Balcony Lounge. Prices start from THB 390++ per glass.
