Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will graciously preside over the opening ceremony of the “Chaipattana Fair on Tour” on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM. On November 12, 2024, Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, led a press conference to discuss the upcoming fair in Nakhon Nayok Province. This press event was co-hosted by the Governor of Nakhon Nayok and took place at the foundation’s headquarters in Bangkok. The fair is scheduled from December 12 to 15, 2024, at Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam and the Suda Duan Phen Training Center, operating daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
As the Honorary Chairperson of the Chaipattana Foundation, Her Royal Highness has given her permission for the organization of this significant event. The fair showcases development concepts, project successes, and products from various initiatives across the country. This occasion pays tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, who founded the Chaipattana Foundation to improve the livelihoods of the Thai people and promote national prosperity and stability through development.
The first-ever “Chaipattana Fair” occurred in 2016 at the Chaipattana Vocational Park Project in Nakhon Pathom, with a subsequent event in 2022 at Sook Siam, ICONSIAM, Bangkok. This year’s fair marks the beginning of a regional tour that will eventually extend to other areas nationwide.
Attendees can expect over 170 stalls featuring local delicacies, quality crafts, and unique souvenirs from around the country. Set in a spacious park beside the scenic Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam, the event allows visitors to shop, savor delicious foods, and unwind in a peaceful winter setting. Key partners supporting the event include Nakhon Nayok Province, various royal initiative project offices, and private sector entities such as Thai Beverage Public Co., BMW Manufacturing (Thailand), and Central Group.
Highlights of the Event Include:
On December 12, 2024, the opening ceremony will feature a special cooking demonstration by Her Royal Highness, along with performances from the “3 Grandpas” comedy group, artists from the show “Pleng Ake,” and various musical ensembles.
On December 13, renowned chef Norbert Kostner will conduct a cooking demonstration alongside traditional khon dance and musical performances.
