Mr. Leaf: From Agriculture to Fashion

Empowering Sustainability

For eco-conscious individuals, Ticy City presents a unique Thai fashion brand, Mr. Leaf, which began its journey from agriculture and transitioned into the fashion industry, aiming to become an eco-friendly brand for a sustainable world.

Mr. Leaf was founded by Paramet Saiuparach, a former teacher who grew up in agriculture, and a Japanese partner. They created a brand that turns fallen leaves and agricultural waste into handmade, sustainable products. Since 1998, they have been producing bags, accessories, and furniture using teak leaves, known for their durability and water resistance, as an alternative to leather.

Mr. Leaf operates on four core principles: alignment with community culture and lifestyle, innovation, design, and nature. As a community enterprise in Chiang Mai, it employs over 40 local artisans, promoting craftsmanship and continuous skill development.

Initially focusing on the domestic market, Mr. Leaf’s unique and stylish designs soon gained global popularity. Today, 95% of their sales are exports to over 17 countries, including the USA, China, and Germany.

FedEx has played a crucial role in Mr. Leaf’s growth by providing reliable logistics support and innovative solutions, such as electric vehicles and reusable packaging, aligning with the brand’s sustainability goals. For nearly a decade, FedEx has partnered with Mr. Leaf to expand its business globally, making international trade easier and more convenient through advanced shipping technologies and digital tools.

In 2022, FedEx introduced emission-free electric vehicles for shipping in Thailand and reusable packaging to minimize environmental impact, further supporting Mr. Leaf’s commitment to sustainability.

Mr. Leaf is a true example of a brand dedicated to sustainable fashion for a better world.
