Vinexpo 2024: A Must-Attend Event for Wine Lovers in Hong Kong

The international wine and spirits trade fair, “Vinexpo 2024,” is set to take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from May 28-30. Wine enthusiasts cannot afford to miss this event.

Vinexpo Asia plays a crucial economic role and serves as a key platform for trade and business negotiations. It fosters collaboration among producers, distributors, and buyers, boosting and strengthening economic ties within the wine and spirits industry.

Mr. Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of the Vinexposium group, stated: “Since its first event in Hong Kong 26 years ago, Vinexpo Asia has become an annual gathering for industry professionals. The event alternates between Singapore and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This year, we are honored to return to Hong Kong. Following the success of Vinexpo Asia in Singapore in 2023, Vinexposium continues to play a vital role in the economic growth and vibrancy of the wine and spirits industry in Asia, elevating industry standards and promoting a conducive environment for trade and investment.”

Mr. Kenneth Wong, General Manager of MICE and Cruise, remarked: “Vinexpo Asia first took place in Hong Kong in 1998 and has since grown into a significant event for the wine and spirits industry in the region. We are delighted to see its return, leveraging the city’s diverse culture and openness, business-friendly environment, and significant opportunities, including those in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), which covers Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, and rapidly growing regions in Asia. This expansion creates more business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers in Asia.

Hong Kong, centrally located in Asia and serving as the gateway to the GBA, is strategically important for driving economic success. The GBA, home to approximately 87 million people, greatly influences the Asia region by providing access to the Chinese market, which remains a strategic market for the wine and spirits industry. According to IWSR, wine and spirits consumption in China is expected to grow by 19% by 2027. While Vinexpo Asia focuses on the Chinese market, it also emphasizes several key import markets in Asia, including Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, among others. The event promises unparalleled sales development opportunities.

The leading regional trade fair in Asia-Pacific will attract exhibitors from 40 countries, including top five contributors Australia and China, along with New World wine producers from Chile, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, and the USA. European exhibitors from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Switzerland will also be prominently featured.”

Vinexpo 2024 will host 1,300 exhibitors, with 60% from international origins and 40% from France, showcasing their products over three days of business negotiations and networking.
