In an enchanting celebration of Japanese confectionery, the Siam Takashimaya Icon Siam is set to host the “WAGASHI Japanese Sweets & Crafts Festival.” Seven master chefs, each with a deep passion for crafting traditional Japanese sweets, will grace the event with their expertise from November 13 to 24.

Hiromori Uchida – Ganudo, Chisunokuni

Hailing from Chisunokuni, Ganudo is a time-honored establishment dedicated to bringing the warmth and tranquility of traditional Japanese sweets to people’s lives. With a mission to spread Japanese confectionery culture globally, Chef Hiromori Uchida aims to captivate audiences with his sweet creations.

Yasuhiko Hikiami – Hikiami Kogetsu Do, Tochigi

Originating from Tochigi, Hikiami Kogettsudo is a renowned Japanese sweets shop known for its fresh and personalized approach to confectionery. Chef Yasuhiko Hikiami, recognized for his exceptional skills, once crafted sweets for Tokyo Jihen, a prominent Japanese music band.

Saiundo, a revered establishment, has garnered popularity in Matsusue, the city renowned for its water. Chef Chuhei Yamaguchi, one of the five chefs representing the shop, has been chosen and certified as an outstanding Japanese confectioner by the National Japanese Confectionery Association.

Shokogo Shibuya – Nagomi no Yoane, Shiba

Nagomi no Yoane, an age-old confectionery store, upholds the traditions of crafting sweets with four guiding principles: creating a comfortable taste, fostering a delicious lifestyle, connecting people and hearts, and expanding a prosperous future. Shokogo Shibuya, the representative chef, has received numerous awards in national and international confectionery exhibitions.
