Ticy City is thrilled to unveil One Bangkok, a stunning new centerpiece in Bangkok. Unveiled with a truly spectacular celebration, it quickly went viral, captivating audiences online.
One Bangkok is built around the concept of ‘The Heart of Bangkok,’ and embodies ‘a city built from the heart.’ Themed ‘Let Our Hearts Beat as One,’ the opening ceremony created a historic evening that caught the world’s eye, featuring a mesmerizing performance by over 500 artists, including some of Thailand’s most celebrated talent alongside international stars. Dignitaries, leading figures from business, government, and top industry sectors joined thousands of celebrities and VIPs to witness this iconic launch.
Mr. Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, CEO of Frasers Property Limited, expressed pride in the project, saying, “One Bangkok is the ultimate symbol of our vision, a significant milestone born from the shared dedication of Mr. Charoen and Khunying Wanna Sirivadhanabhakdi. They brought together our collective resources, expertise, and passion to transform Rama IV Road—a historically important avenue for Bangkok’s growth—into a world-class destination. With One Bangkok, we’re creating a global landmark, a vibrant center that connects people, business, and inspiration, sparking new prosperity for Bangkok. This is a monumental step forward in developing our capital city and elevating it on the global stage.”
A new city for the modern world, born of a grand vision.
The ceremony opened at the One Bangkok Forum, welcoming guests with a special performance by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and an 80-member choir. Together, they performed The Heart of Bangkok, a piece created for this event by Apisit Wongchoti and Witwisit Hiranyawongkul, directed by National Artist Suteesak Pakdeeteva. Powerful drum rhythms, paired with animation showcasing Bangkok’s cultural icons—from historic landmarks to its evolution into a modern metropolis—announced One Bangkok’s debut as a world landmark.
A global show by Auditoire
The red carpet was graced by Thai superstars, actors, and top celebrities who gathered to celebrate One Bangkok. Auditoire, creators of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony, crafted a special performance for the occasion at One Bangkok Park, with over 500 performers captivating the audience across two connected stages, spanning 50 meters.
The night opened with Thai superstar PP Krit Amnuaydechkorn performing Birds of a Feather, a blend of Thai and modern styles. International stars followed, with Loren Allred, known for Never Enough from The Greatest Showman, singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and British star
Calum Scott performing You Are the Reason.
“It’s thrilling to be part of such a monumental celebration of One Bangkok, a symbol of unity for this city and beyond,” Calum Scott said. “It’s amazing to see Bangkok’s heart beating in harmony with the world, connecting us all. I’m honored to share this moment with everyone here as the city’s future unfolds.”
Loren Allred added, “I’m deeply honored to be part of One Bangkok’s opening. My congratulations to the visionary leaders and team who made this dream a reality. You’re building Bangkok’s future with a unified heart, and I’m thrilled to be part of this historic moment.”
The show, designed by Auditoire, featured four acts that celebrated Thailand’s rich cultural heritage from past to present, while looking to the future:
Act 1: The Blessing of Golden Land
The opening act celebrated One Bangkok, rooted in Thailand’s golden land, uniting tradition and modernity with inspiration from Thai lacquered gold art.
Act 2: The Beauties Unveiled
Inspired by the beauty of dawn and afternoon light at One Bangkok, this act brought together world-class performances with One Bangkok’s iconic architecture.
Act 3: Twilight Symphony
In a modern blend of Thai music and entertainment, the third act reinterpreted Thai traditions with global appeal, presenting Thailand’s future on the world stage.
Act 4: Grand Finale
Closing with inspiration from Bangkok’s night sky, the final act dazzled with special effects, lighting, and over 500 performers in a breathtaking finale.
The official launch of One Bangkok marks only the beginning, as it opens doors to limitless experiences. Poised as a world-class destination, One Bangkok combines luxury and convenience, offering a seamless lifestyle in one place. One Bangkok Retail, including Parade and The Storeys, will soon open with over 750 brands from around the world, alongside a Retail Loop and a Food Loop with 250 acclaimed restaurants. Cutting-edge office spaces and the Art Loop, a 2-kilometer journey of art and culture, span the entire project. The Wireless House One Bangkok will also debut soon.
In hospitality, look forward to The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok opening in November 2024, Andaz One Bangkok—the first Andaz in Bangkok—opening in 2025, and Fraser Suites Bangkok, expected in 2026.
