Khlong Lad Pho Watergate

Celebrate the enduring legacy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX) at the 5th Pratu Chuam Suk, Saphan Chuam Jai Phro Phra Boriban. Organized by Ticy City and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chachoengsao Office, this special event takes place at the Khlong Lad Pho Watergate in Samut Prakan from November 22–24, 2024.

This event honors the King’s visionary contributions to the people of Phra Pradaeng, including the Khlong Lad Pho Watergate and the Bhumibol 1 and 2 Bridges, both part of his royal initiatives.

  • Exhibitions showcasing royal development projects.
  • Cultural performances, including music, Khon, and traditional Thai dances by local youth.
  • A vibrant marketplace with local food, crafts, and workshops from six subdistricts in Bang Kachao.

Special Highlight (November 24):
Experience the Angsana Boat Ride from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, retracing the historic journey of King Rama IX as he inaugurated the Khlong Lad Pho Watergate and the Bhumibol Bridges. Boats will depart from and return to the Royal Thai Navy Auditorium Pier in Bangkok.

In addition to these commemorative activities, indulge in the unique flavors of Bang Kachao with signature local dishes and enjoy live performances of royal compositions and contemporary hits by renowned artists like Kit from The Voice and Meji from The Golden Song.
