The three special dishes blend the unique flavors of Swedish and Thai cuisine perfectly, offering a novel dining experience. Crafted under the Swedish concept of ‘Lagom,’ which means ‘just the right amount,’ these dishes emphasize simplicity and balance by combining the straightforwardness of Swedish food with the rich, bold flavors of Thai cooking. The three new dishes include:
Northern-style Noodles with Curry and Meatballs
Experience the perfect fusion of distinctive Swedish and Thai flavors with IKEA’s signature meatballs, enhanced with a variety of Thai spices such as dried chili, Thai garlic, shallots, kaffir lime peel, galangal, turmeric, lemongrass, and curry powder. The dish is enriched with creamy coconut milk, a staple in Thai kitchens, served over fettuccine noodles, and garnished with sliced shallots and pickled mustard greens. This is the first time IKEA Thailand has created a Northern-style noodle soup served with curry and meatballs.
Salmon Steak with Spicy Mango Salad
Enjoy a firm Swedish-style salmon steak combined with the fresh, tangy, mildly spicy, and subtly sweet flavors of ripe mango salad, topped with mint leaves and the umami taste of sweet plum tomatoes. This dish offers a familiar taste of Thai cuisine. The salmon is ASC-certified, ensuring that it meets the highest global standards for responsibly farmed seafood.
Lingonberry Yogurt Smoothie
Delight smoothie lovers with the unique ingredient of lingonberries, a popular fruit in Sweden known for its sweet-tart flavor. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, this smoothie combines lingonberries with creamy yogurt for a refreshing, healthy treat made with organic fruit.
